HTMLI started off designing and devloping websites by learning HTML - the language which is found when you use google's developer tools (inspect element). This is the basic of basic in web development, it creates the structure of the page with all the elements before styling is added. I started learning HTML back in 2021 on holiday, using an app called MimoShow More

CSSAlong with HTML, I started learning CSS in 2021 and have been using it ever since of course. How else would I make my websites look any good? CSS is a styling language which is solely for making elements look different on a page, that can be by adding background colours (yes I'm British) or changing the font of the text and so much more. I was also introduced to this on Mimo when I was learning HTML.Show More

JavaScriptJavascript came later and I had to self teach myself the language as I had already taken on my first client by this point. Meaning I had to learn as I went. I have no regrets in doing so though, as it allows me to still learn new things about the language to this day. For example, I only just today (29/04/2025) used my first array.Show More

TypescriptAfter a while of using pure HTML and CSS, I found out about frameworks like React which lead to me having to use Typescript which is a smarter version of Javascript so there wasn't too much different to learn. I made this move about a year and a half ago (as of 29/04/2025). Since then I have been mainly using Typescript as my main coding language with each new project I make. I still learn new ways to use it to this day!Show More

ReactReact is a UI library which I started using in unison with Next.js as it is built on top of React. It is through this I started using Typescript as pure HTML simply isn't scalable like Javascript (Typescript) is.Show More

Next.jsI moved on to the Next.js framework as well using both React and Next.js in unison. I have been using the Next.js framework for the past year, and I am still learning to this day!Show More

TailwindWhen I moved to Next.js, I was introduced to Tailwind CSS, which I have found to be an amazing and helpful CSS tool as it has saved me so much time by using utility classes rather than plain CSS.Show More
